(New Orleans, Louisiana) Return of a familiar face

Jimmy Graham is returning to the New Orleans Saints on a one-year deal. The tight-end’s last action was back in 2021 with the Chicago Bears before sitting out this past year.

The 36-year-old took to social media following the news:

“Hey guys I’m back home. Incredible, incredible to be here back in this building with the guys. Can’t wait to see you at training camp, can’t wait to see you in the Superdome, looking forward to every second, every moment of it. Love you guys.”

The veteran appears to be a distant memory, many presuming Graham wouldn’t take another snap in the NFL and at some point officially retire.

Graham entered the league with the Saints and spent his first five years from 2010-2014 in New Orleans. He caught 386 passes for 4,752 yards and 51 touchdowns, leading all tight-ends over that span before being traded to the Seattle Seahawks.

“Maybe I will get the respect of my daughter back because she killed me when we traded him.” general manager Mickey Loomis said “That was her favorite player. I think she will be excited”
