NFL: Dallas Cowboys Training Camp
(Dallas) — Tempers flared at Dallas Cowboys practice on Tuesday afternoon.
Things appears to get tense between Dak Prescott and Trevon Diggs after the Cowboys quarterback escaped the rush and ran for a touchdown during a team drill.
The defense didn’t take kindly as defenders came to confront Prescott – including Diggs, who had a few choice words for Dak.
“Shut yo b**** a** up,” Diggs said to his starting quarterback following the play.
Safety Malik Hooker also had an exchange with Prescott, but it’s unclear what was said.
While that’s the nature of the NFL, it seems a bit much for an early-August practice. But for now, we won’t make this anything more than it is.
Iron sharpens Iron? Maybe.
Despite missing five games with a broken thumb last season, Prescott’s 15 interceptions in 12 games tied for the league lead with Derek Carr.
If the quarterback struggles again in 2023, Diggs might not be the only player telling him off.
Dallas hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars in its first preseason game on Aug. 12.
