(New York, NY) – A “Woj bomb” has been dropped over New York City.

ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports 28-year-old guard Josh Hart has agreed to a four-year $81 million extension with the New York Knicks, after being acquired last year in a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Wojnarowski reports that Hart’s agents with CAA are working through the final details with New York’s front office, adding it’s expected Hart will continue to participate with Team USA ahead of the FIBA World Cup. Teammate Jalen Brunson is also playing for Team USA.

The new deal means Hart will have secured $94 million through the 2027-2028 season.

Both he and Jalen Brunson played together during their college days at Villanova, and their chemistry continued following the trade that brought Hart in. A notable moment at the time of the trade captured Brunson’s elated reaction to Hart’s acquisition.
