NEW YORK — Seahawks Jamal Adams’ return lasted nine snaps.
The safety was taken to the medical tent in the first quarter of Week 4 against the Giants.
Adams took a knee to the helmet on a tackle attempt against Daniel Jones in the open field.
He struggled to get to his feet under his own power and was escorted to the medical tent. Adams was starting his first game since suffering a torn quadricep injury during Week 1 of the 2022 season.
A few minutes later, Adams emerged from the medical tent, yelling at one of the NFL’s unaffiliated neurotrauma consultants (UNCs) while being held back by the team’s head athletic trainer and two members of the Seahawks’ security staff.
He still appeared heated while being led off the field.
“I’m so sorry for him, but we’re gonna have to keep going, keep playing,” head coach Pete Carroll said.
