PHILADELPHIA — James Harden is causing problems.
Again.
After requesting a trade on numerous occasions, Harden, who openly said he planned to make things “uncomfortable” with Philadelphia , no-showed practice on Wednesday, The Athletic reports.
Haden was reportedly in Houston.
The Athletic adds the 35-year-old has not been with the team since Sunday and it is unclear “when and if” he will return to the team as he awaits a trade.
“This is in life. When you lose trust in someone, it’s like a marriage. … I wanted to retire a Sixer. And the front office didn’t have that in their future plans,” Harden said.
The 76ers open their season in eight days, on Oct. 26, against the Bucks in Milwaukee and it seems highly unlikely that the disgruntled star will play in that game.
For what it’s worth, Harden said in his lone media availability that he planned to play in Philadelphia’s finale against the Hawks on Friday.
While it has been reported that the 76ers and Clippers are still engaged in conversations, no trade has been completed.
Stay tuned.
