Scapegoat: Bills Fire Offensive Coordinator

BUFFALO — The Buffalo Bills have fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey following their 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos on Monday night.

Head coach Sean McDermott had previously stated that he had not considered firing Dorsey, but changed his mind after the disappointing loss.

Quarterbacks coach Joe Brady will take over the coordinator role on an interim basis.

Dorsey was promoted to offensive coordinator after Brian Daboll left to become the New York Giants head coach in 2022.

The Bills had a strong offensive performance last year, finishing second in points, and are currently ranked eighth in the league this season. However, they have struggled in recent games, losing four out of their last six, and have been plagued by turnovers, with 18 in total.

Brady, who previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers under Matt Rhule, joined the Bills staff last season. He played a key role in building a successful LSU offense around quarterback Joe Burrow. However, like Dorsey, Brady was fired before the end of his second season with the Panthers.

Now, he will be tasked with revitalizing the Bills’ offense and leading them back to the playoffs, starting with quarterback Josh Allen.
