BUFFALO — Buffalo Bills fans have been waiting… and waiting… for a Super Bowl championship. The most recent push for a ring isn’t getting any easier, thanks to a Week 18 injury.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Gabe Davis suffered a PCL sprain in the Bills’ win over the Dolphins.
The 24-year-old Davis was targeted twice and didn’t register a reception prior to his exit.
According to Rapoport, Davis’ injury is “not considered major,” but his availability for Sunday’s wild card game against the Steelers is “TBD.” The diagnosis should be considered good news.
“Having Gabe Davis at some point in the playoffs would be key,” Rapoport said on “X”. “Not only does he hold the playoff record with 4 TDs, but has been a TD machine — Tied for 10th with 33 TDs since he was drafted. One of the more underrated WRs in the NFL.”
Davis is in the final year of his rookie contract and will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season. He finished the season with 45 reception for 746 yards and seven touchdowns.
I guess that’s underrated these days?
We should know more on Davis’ availability when the Bills release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday.
